[Windows] Linking PresenceLight App with your Elhi sPresence App
Microsoft Teams sync with Elhi sPresence is supported from App version 2.8.3 onwards. It is enabled with a third party app, "PresenceLight". This app is free to download from the Microsoft Store.
In this guide we will understand, how we can link the PresenceLight App with our Elhi app.
1. First we will download the Presence Light App from the Microsoft Store
2. Once, the App is installed, login with your Microsoft Work/School credentials and give permissions to PresenceLight to access your presence status and activity.
3. Next, we will go to Elhi sPresence App and switch on the Microsoft Teams Auto Status Update.
4. Now, go to the "About" tab in the PresenceLight App and look for the "Settings Location". Click on the location and you will be now able to see the folder containing the "settings.xml" file. Take a backup of this file (copy and save it with another name).
5. Close the PresenceLight application from the System Tray by right clicking on the Bulb icon and clicking Exit.
6. Replace the settings.xml file (from step 4) with the below one, and restart the PresenceLight Application.
7. Login again, now your presence should reflect in the PresenceLight app. It would be refreshed every 3 seconds. You can change this and other settings as per your requirement. Now PresenceLight application is also synced with your Elhi sPresence Application and your Elhi will change colours as per your Microsoft Teams status.
