[Windows] Activating Advance IP Scanning to Resolve Connectivity Issues

Elhi uses mDNS discovery for finding the Elhi device on the network. In certain Network configurations, mDNS discovery can give issues. In these cases, you can use the Advance IP Scanning feature, which gives a higher resolution probability. To use the Advance IP Scanning, follow the steps below attempting to connect your Elhi device:

  • Right-click on the Elhi Icon placed in the System Tray.
  • Open Preferences and go to the System Tab.
  • Check the "Advance IP Scan" option as shown below.


Though Advance IP Scanning improves connectivity, it can take more time to establish connectivity (at least for the first time). It works only when one Elhi device is connected to the network. Some Network configurations might prevent Advance IP Scanning from not functioning as intended. Please contact ElhiTech support in case you need help.
