[Corporate] Updating Elhi sPresence with Customised Firmware

If you are a corporate customer, the support desk will provide custom firmware upgrades. The updates can be BAU Security patches, custom feature updates, or generic bug fixes. 


Update via Elhi Computer Application 

If your Elhi is already connected to your computer over WiFi, you can easily update Elhi via the application. Once your Elhi is connected to your computer go to your application and open preferences. 

Here you can see the current version of your Elhi. Click on the "Update" button. This will redirect you to our Update Website. 


Follow steps 2 and 3. Since you will be getting the firmware from the support desk, you don't need to download the generic firmware. Warning: Downloading and using the firmware on the upgrade page can lead to unwanted changes as these are generic updates.


  • Click on the below button to go to the update link for your Elhi Device.
  • Please Make sure to keep your device powered on during the update.
  • Select the latest firmware update file from your system.
  • Press on Update.
Once your Elhi starts to update, it will turn Purple. Do not power off your device, and wait for it to reboot. If your Elhi is taking more than 5 minutes to reboot, restart Elhi manually (In this case update might not have happened successfully, follow the above steps again). Restart your app and reconnect the device.


Update via Browser

Elhi update page can be directly loaded by going to <ELHI IP>/installUpdate. On some devices (mostly mac and ios, you can also go to elhi_<SERIAL>.local/installUpdate). This doesn't require your Elhi to be connected to your computer with the application. Only that the computer or mobile used to update should be connected to the same network as Elhi. 

For example, for an Elhi 9043 you can go to, http://elhi_9043.local/installUpdate or http://192.168.0.23/installUpdate. (Don't forget to put http:// in front of the .local address). 

After this, you will be on the update page. 


  • Click on the below button to go to the update link for your Elhi Device.
  • Please Make sure to keep your device powered on during the update.
  • Select the latest firmware update file from your system.
  • Press on Update.
